What happened to Cortana

Microsoft ended support for the standalone Cortana app in Windows in 2023. Microsoft’s assistant on Windows is now Copilot. AYO is a separate app from AYO Systems and is not affiliated with Microsoft.

What AYO brings back

A wake word you can say from any app, answers spoken out loud, and a memory you control. Say "AYO, remember…" and the fact is saved in a file on your PC. Memories, notes, tasks, and reminders all live in your user profile, not in a cloud account.

What AYO adds

AYO can look at your screen when you ask, answer about the exact spot you hover over, and, on Plus and Pro, do jobs on your PC with your OK for anything that sends, pays, or deletes. Gaming Mode keeps it quiet while you play, and you pick one of three personalities.

Answers out loud, or in a corner card if you typed it with Alt+Shift+S.
“AYO, remember my dentist is on the 12th.”
Saves it in a file on your PC and answers from it later.

What to know first

Windows 10 and 11 (64-bit) only. There is no Mac, Linux, or phone version yet.
Speech is English only for now.
AYO needs an internet connection to answer. Only the wake word is detected offline, on your PC.
