What do the Quick check-in buttons do?

Does AYO take screenshots all the time?

No. Most checks only read the window’s title on your PC, text recognition runs on your PC when a check needs more, and there are no timed screenshots in Gaming Mode.

How the nudge works

Screen awareness checks the window you are in every 30, 60, or 120 seconds (High, Medium, or Low). If a task is due soon and you have been on a distraction for a while, the Quick check-in card appears with three buttons: Show tasks, I’m working, and Not now. Click I’m working and it backs off.

Light on your privacy

Most checks only read the window’s title, on your PC. When a check needs more, the text recognition also runs on your PC. A screen picture goes out only when you ask something that needs one, or when a proactive suggestion cycle actually runs. Incognito (Ctrl+Shift+P) turns the background checks off for that session.

Quiet when it should be

Gaming Mode stops nudges and timed screen looks while you play. You pick the check interval, and you can turn background scanning off any time in Settings.

Try saying

“AYO, remind me at 4 to start the lab report.”
Sets a reminder that fires at 4, on any plan.

What to know first

Quick check-in is not on the Free plan. Reminders work on every plan.
Windows 10 and 11 (64-bit) only. There is no Mac, Linux, or phone version yet.
AYO needs an internet connection to answer. Only the wake word is detected offline, on your PC.
