Is AYO safe and legit?

Short answer

AYO is a desktop AI made by AYO Systems Technology LLC. Get it from heyayo.com/download, which hands you AYO-Installer.exe from AYO’s official releases page on GitHub. Windows may show a SmartScreen notice because the beta installer is not code-signed yet; that means Windows does not recognize the app yet, not that it found a virus. AYO keeps wake-word detection and your saved facts on your PC, and it asks before anything that sends, pays, or deletes.

About the SmartScreen notice

SmartScreen warns about installers it does not recognize yet, and unsigned ones most of all. The AYO Beta installer is not code-signed yet, so Windows may say "Windows protected your PC." If your AYO-Installer.exe came from heyayo.com/download (the file itself is served from github.com/yazanAydi/ayo-releases), click More info, then Run anyway. If you got it anywhere else, do not run it.

What stays on your PC

Wake-word detection, your saved memories, notes, tasks, reminders, and settings. Chat history stays on your PC unless Incognito is on. AYO’s servers log timing and ids, not your chats.

What leaves, and when

Your voice clip goes out only after you talk, so it can be turned into words. A screen picture goes out only when you ask something that needs one, or when a proactive suggestion cycle actually runs. The model vendors see the question you sent, not a copy of your disk.

What AYO will not do on its own

Sending, paying, and deleting wait for you to say yes. AYO never types a password. Esc stops an agent task, and Incognito (Ctrl+Shift+P) pauses new memories, screen looks, and saved chat for a session.

What to know first

The beta installer is not code-signed yet, so SmartScreen may warn you.
AYO uses cloud AI models for answers, so a question, voice clip, or screen picture leaves your PC when a feature needs it.
Windows 10 and 11 (64-bit) only. There is no Mac, Linux, or phone version yet.
